I will keep trying to reproduce Soshu-den swords, hoping that my works move the hearts of people and stand the test of time, just like original ones.
Soshu-den: One of the Gokaden (the Five Main Traditions). Dynamic jigane and shining nie are the characteristics of Soshu-den swords made between the Kamakura and Nanbokucho periods.

1964: Born in Osaka
1987: Graduated from the Department of Environmental Conservation, Faculty of Agriculture, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology
2000: Became an apprentice of Tsunahiro Yamamura, the 24th generation of Masamune, in Kamakura
2005: Authorized as a qualified swordsmith by the Agency for Cultural Affairs
2006: Established the own Japanese sword forge "Mitsuhiro Nihonto Tanrenjo" in Yamakita-machi, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa
2012: Won the Bronze Prize 1 at the Third Shinsaku Nihonto and Sword Craftsmen Competition, Sword Making section
2014: Won the Silver Prize 3 at the Fifth Shinsaku Nihonto and Sword Craftsmen Competition, Sword Making section
2024: Made a chokuto (straight sword) dedicated to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura
